Anis Alesya

Anis Alesya Binti Mohammad Khairul Hakima, born on May 7, 2015, is a lovely young girl whose journey is both inspiring and heartwarming. Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and speech delay at the age of 4. Anis' artistic journey began through the START Art Program. This program introduced Anis to the vibrant world of painting on canvas using acrylics, marking a significant leap from her earlier experiences with watercolours and colour pencils.

Anis has a special love for painting whimsical bubbles, enchanting trees, adorable pandas, playful cats, and anything that sparks her curiosity. Her vibrant sketches and colourful canvases reflect a world where creativity knows no bounds and every stroke tells a joyful story. The transition to acrylic painting unlocked new levels of Anis' creativity and expression, allowing her to explore drawing and painting techniques with unbridled joy and freedom.

In June 2024, Anis’ artistic talent shone brightly when she participated in her first ever art exhibition, organized by NARC UiTM Shah Alam in collaboration with the START Art Program. It was a monumental moment for Anis as her debut artworks captivated audiences, and two pieces were sold during the exhibition. This achievement not only boosted her confidence but also marked the beginning of a promising artistic journey.

For Anis, the joy of painting is more than a hobby, it is a mean of self-expression and a pathway to creating a legacy. Her story is a powerful reminder that with the right support and opportunities, every individual has the potential to shine.
