The beginning of (a life long series) Soul Map project began with my childhood memory in Penang where I spent my early years as a kid with my grandparents from Greenlane doing everyday things with them - selling newspaper, manning the cash machine in Shell Station, getting cream puffs in Continental Bakery at Nagor Road sitting behind while my grandpa drove me around Georgetown, and eventually trips to the cemetery where they were both laid to rest. 

I decided to paint this map as a way to reclaim my childhood memories because despite the dark days, this would be the memory I would go back to remember how I became the person I am today.
