Very often, from our painful experiences, we might associate these with guilt or shame. I certainly have, and still struggle with this thought sometimes. But I strive to remember that our thoughts of ourselves and memories of our past do not define us. In fact, in a different light, some of these painful experiences can be shifted into being monumental moments of self-growth.
