If we spend a day doing what we love the most, definitely that day will be one of the most joyous days and will be remembered forever.

While doing what we love with passion and love, we radiate good and positive energy to the surrounding and everybody around us. There is a quote saying that passion is energy. Feel the strength that comes from focusing on what makes you happy. This quote can be comparable to this artwork whereby this artwork embodied the passion and love of myself to arts.

I created this piece named “A Day to be Remembered” just to remind myself and others to have fun and enjoy doing something that we love. Bright colors that were used in this art symbolize the energy and passion I felt on the day I painted this masterpiece. The day that I enjoy myself to the fullest.

Jika kita menghabiskan masa melakukan perkara yang kita sukai, sudah tentulah ia akan menjadi sesuatu yang sangat gembira dan kita akaan mengingati hari tersebut.

Apabila kita melakukan perkara yang kia suka, kita akan membina suasana yang gembira. Hasil tangan ini menggambarkan betapa gembiranya saya menyiapkan lukisan ini. 

Karya ini bertujuan untuk mengingatkan saya dan orang lain untuk rasa seronok melakukan perkara yang kita suka. Warna yang digunakan dalam karya ini menggambarkan perasaan yang dizahirkan ketika itu. Apabila saya gembira, inilah hari yang saya akan ingati selalu.

A little bit about the Artist

SYUKRAN SHAKIRAH is a self-taught artist that has a great appreciation for the surroundings. This informs most of her art as they revolve around florals and a more naturalistic theme. Each piece of her work is the result of a meditative process and reflection of her thoughts toward nature and environments.

She has participated in several public and private events showcasing her talents such as Putrajaya International Islamic Arts & Culture Festival 2019, SEPHORA Raya Celebration 2019 and art class at PERODUA Headquarters Rawang and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Her first group exhibition was held at the National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur in 2019 .
