“This painting was thought about from a basic human need: Rest. It has been an elusive idea to some of my peers and myself, once upon a time. More often than not, they are already serving and doing their very best with excellence, but it’s never enough. The work is never finished. This never ending work takes its toll on our bodies, mind and soul.
I believe we are beings designed to work AND rest so that we are able to continue to give our best to others in the work we do. It is a choice to make time for those moments to breathe, be still to reset again. This is the second painting of the Thoughtful Collection."
